How to have a lovely day:

A handy step by step guide on achieving those lovely days:

~Smile at strangers (people you know could be smiled at as well if you like)
~Slow down (notice where you are, tuck a few things away to remember)
~Say thank you (goes hand in hand with smiling)
~Give lots of compliments (You look proper fierce today!)
~Dress nicely (Little black dress, little black dress)
~Wear perfume (If you smell good, you feel good. Proven Fact.)
~Observe and listen (You can learn from everyone, even the silliest of people)
~Be charming (With your friendly smiles and good smelling self this is almost completed. Keep up the charm.)
~Laugh (Laughing adds years to your life. Laugh daily and live forever. And if that doesn't work at least you'll be happy)
~Wish people a lovely day. (The last part to your charming, smiley,compliment-y self.  Never leave without wishing a stranger or friend a lovely day. with a charming smile. perfect.)

And bobs your uncle! These steps are easy and almost (kind of) guaranteed to make your day, a lovely one.

Happy Thought

I feel better already ;)

Bluebird by Charles Bukowski

One of the best poems I've read in a while...xx

there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say, stay in there, I'm not going
to let anybody see
you.
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I pour whiskey on him and inhale
cigarette smoke
and the whores and the bartenders
and the grocery clerks
never know that
he's
in there.

there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too tough for him,
I say,
stay down, do you want to mess
me up?
you want to screw up the
works?
you want to blow my book sales in
Europe?
there's a bluebird in my heart that
wants to get out
but I'm too clever, I only let him out
at night sometimes
when everybody's asleep.
I say, I know that you're there,
so don't be
sad.
then I put him back,
but he's singing a little
in there, I haven't quite let him
die
and we sleep together like
that
with our
secret pact
and it's nice enough to
make a man
weep, but I don't
weep, do
you?
